Director
Austin and Ashley Melton
Austin worked 5 years in church ministry before joining Navigator staff in 2023. After working on 3 different college campuses, he feels strongly that there is no more influential time in students' lives than on campus. Austin believes that ministry happens in the context of relationship. He has been married to his wife Ashley for six years. They have two beautiful children.

Ashley is on part-time staff with the Navigators. Before having kids, she was an English-second-language teacher. Ashley is passionate about mentoring women. She loves spending time with her family, reading, and being in nature.

Nicole and Martin "Doc" Carlisle
Nicole is a volunteer with the Navigators and has been involved in sharing Jesus with students at three different colleges. She is a registered nurse and has served with Mercy Ships in Africa.
​
“Doc” is a computer science professor with a passion for helping students grow in their faith. He has volunteered with campus ministries at each of the four universities where he has taught. He enjoys teaching Bible studies and mentoring. Doc has valuable experience in "contending for the faith" (Jude 1:3) through applied apologetics, and enjoys helping students learn to have confidence in the Gospel.

Rob Holt
Rob is a passionate volunteer and mentor. At Navigators, he disciples and leads Bible studies for upperclassmen students. He is specializes in teaching the art of meaningful conversations, ballroom dancing, and making disciples. Rob is a business lawyer by trade, and he helps young people take Christ into the professional setting. Rob holds special bible studies for seniors, helping these young professionals to deepen their faith as they depart college for the larger world.

Student President
Matthew Visentine
Matthew is a current student at Texas A&M University, class of 2026. He is pursuing his undergraduate degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, and he has been involved with the Navigators each year of college. Matthew loves getting ultimate frisbee, rock climbing, studying the Bible individually and with friends, and having good conversations (especially on roadtrips!)

Director Emeritus
Stewart Sherrill (and wife Nancy)
After 32 years in business, Stewart felt called to full time ministry. Upon completing his Masters degree in Christian Leadership, he became the Lead Pastor for First Baptist Church of Hobbs, New Mexico. Later, he felt called to the college ministry with The Aggie Navigators. As a former pastor, Stewart has experience engaging and leading a wide variety of people in many stages of life. He leads special intensive studies on scripture and life skills for young men, and continues to inspire us as a permanent volunteer.

Stewart has been married to his wonderful wife, Nancy, for 40 years, has two married daughters and six grandchildren.
