ROBERT MUMME // the engineer
During his junior year at Texas A&M, Robert listened to a debate between Christians and Atheists that changed his life. After much internal debate and hearing Navigators testimonies, he started following Christ. Two years later, he graduated with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and immediately joined staff with The Navigators. One thing he loves about his job is explaining Scripture to help students work through questions and overcome obstacles. Robert also likes competitive board games, ping-pong, and hearing about interesting court cases.

NICOLE CARLISLE (and Doc!) // So Wise
Nicole came to trust Jesus at a young age through the influence of her parents. Her father was an Army officer and she lived many places across the country. She met her husband Marty (aka “Doc”), a computer science professor, while mentoring women in Officers’ Christian Fellowship, (a college ministry at the US Air Force Academy). Marty trusted Jesus as a young age but will tell you that college was a time of tremendous personal growth as well as his first experience of a vibrant Christian community. He realized his passion for working with college students after his junior year of college.
They have been involved in sharing Jesus with students at three different colleges and are happy to now be in Aggieland and participating in the Navigators.
The Carlisles love having students in their home and playing board games. Nicole loves the outdoors, tea and reading. Doc enjoys Dr. Who, mysteries, and spending time with his family. They attend New Life Baptist Church.
